The APECS Simulator (Electronic Warfare Device Simulator) is an educational training equipment developed to enhance the equipment operating capabilities and practical adaptation skills of electronic warfare non-commissioned officers and operators on the DDH-class naval ships. It simulates the electronic warfare equipment (APECS-II) in use.
Operator console functions - Situational decision-making for the entire system and control and display required for the operation between ES and EA subsystems - Audio cassette recorder/player: Records/plays audio of received and analyzed radar signals - SRS control/electrics: Displays/analyzes spectrum activity within frequency range - Control panel/keyboard (CPK): High-output audio/EA control, operating mode control - Display control unit (DCU): Generates video and sync signals to be displayed
